Introduction:

The core team of LAAS-CNRS is composed by:
i) 1 senior researcher: A. Franchi is the leader of the LAAS-CNRS team. He is an expert on conception and control of aerial vehicles, and mutual localization, control, and coordination of multi-robot systems. He is the head of aerial robotics research unit of the RIS team at LAAS-CNRS;
ii) 2 postdocs: M. Tognon is the technical leader of the team. He has 5 years of experience in aerial physical interaction, and A. E. Jimenez-Cano with a consolidated experience on outdoor aerial vehicles;
iii) 2 engineers: A. Mallet, with a long experience on electrical and software engineering, and Q. Sablé, with a strong mechanical engineering background;
iv) 4 PhD students: G. Silano and M. Jacquet working on the onboard vision-based perception and localization, D. Sanalitro working on the high-level mission, task and motion planning, and G. Corsini working on the design and control of the gripping mechanism;
v) 5 master students: E. Umili, G. Petrucci, A. Afifi, Y. Abou Dorra, E. Dantec.
The research domains and technical competences of the members are truly complementary to each other and extensively cover all the skills needed to master the targeted robotic challenge.
